frequently asked questions

Do you have any availability? How do I book the studio?

For your ease and convenience, you can view our availability and book an appointment online HERE!

Can I book the studio for our wedding, baby shower, or other party?

Unfortunately no. Due to building restrictions and fire code regulations, we are no longer able to offer our spaces as an event venue in any capacity.

Is your studio wheelchair accessible?

Yes, but unfortunately there is only one entrance that is accessible in the courtyard, which can be rather inconvenient for clients who book The Loft or White Studio. We highly recommend booking a tour to determine if the building accessibilities accommodate your group’s needs. We do not have control/say over accessibility to the building as we are only tenants.

Do you allow pets?

We generally allow well-trained and leashed animals in the studios, however, animals are not permitted on any studio furniture. Clients are held responsible for any damages or accidents that occur from having their pet in the studio.

Do you offer photography services?

Our rental rates are exclusively for the use of the space, we do not offer photography services on-site. We work with many photographers on a daily basis and would be more than happy to recommend someone if you need OR you may inquire with our studio manager Brittney about her services here.

Can I shoot video in your space?

Yes! We have hosted video shoots a number of times. However, our spaces are located in a multi-purpose building along a busy road. We have multiple neighbors around us that produce loud noises during their workdays and cannot guarantee quiet conditions for audio recordings. Please take this into consideration when booking!

When is the light "best?"

As a natural light studio, all of our spaces have consistent lighting throughout the day, however, we highly encourage clients to bring additional lighting for overcast days or sessions that take place after sunset. The Loft & White Studio receives mostly indirect morning light and Studio 94 receives direct diffused sunlight from early afternoon through sunset.

A general rule of thumb, the natural light in the studio will start to fade one hour before sunset. You can check local sunrise/sunset time here, or do a simple Google search for your desired session date - results are usually pretty accurate.

STYLED SHOOTS

We get asked to collaborate on styled photoshoots all the time! We love providing a space for creatives to flex their muscles, and we deeply value our creative friends in the industry and clients.

Unfortunately, due to the frequency of requests and the structure of our business, we are not able to offer our studios in exchange for images only. We would still love to host your next creative event! From our years of experience, we highly recommend booking 5-hours or a whole day for your shoot. This will give you plenty of time for setup, clean up, and shooting time. If you are hosting a group photoshoot, please reach out to us before booking to ensure we can accommodate you.

What is available in the studio? Are we allowed to use your furniture/props?

Each studio has a selection of furniture and props that is included with your rental. We just ask that when moving furniture/props, that you lift the pieces and move them to avoid scratching our hardwood floors. You may view our studio inventory here.

Can I Use confetti or glitter in the studio?

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Confetti and glitter are just too difficult to remove from our furniture and clean up, even with the help of our clients.

I want to get ready for my wedding in your studio. Do you allow bridal parties?

As of January 2019, we are no longer booking bridal parties in the studio to get ready, hair and makeup, etc. You may still book the studio space for wedding day portraits, but recommend contact us prior to booking to ensure our studio space can accommodate the size of your bridal party.

I have a large group to photograph! Do you have a limit?

All of the studios have a fire code maximum capacity of 40 people, however, the studios vary in size and may not accommodate that large of a group. We ask that you schedule a tour to see which studio space would be the best fit for you and your project.

I’m interested in renting furniture for my event, can you tell me the cost of these items?

As of October of 2019, we are no longer doing event rentals.
